When you book a family photoshoot with me I will have a good chat with you about the time of day that we should book you in! There are lots of things to think about, from the ages of your family members to fitting around the inevitable hectic schedule, and if the shoot is indoors or outdoors. The most important thing however is the light. The early morning and early just before sunset are the best times of day to capture beautiful, soft, outdoor light. You have to trust me when I say it is worth getting up early for if you opt for a morning shoot!
This family chose the evening and with older kids, this worked really well. This type of light even works well in Black and White photos as you can see below.
