When asked to think about family it can mean lots of different things to different people. I come from a big family so, when I think about family, one of the things it means is lots of cousins.

It is joyful to see my children play with their cousins! The shared family sense and years of growing up around each other is precious. Not all families can have this of course for any number of reasons but often if there aren't cousins there are close family friends and your kids grow up together too.

A photoshoot is a great way to capture these relationships! Can you imagine how great it would be to have your childhood buddies in a great photo together? Think beyond a traditional family portrait if your "family" includes cousins or friends that mean a lot to you.

The three girls below in this photoshoot have many happy memories of growing up together and I love to document it for them.
