In a typical portrait session there are so many different types of photos! My job as the photographer is to make sure you get what you need: the hero family shot, the sibling shot, the laughter and the joy. I love those shots! I also love the quiet moments in between, the details and the unexpected beauty in the moment. These shots are often unplanned and just happen naturally. Families are familiar with each other in ways that are easy and intimate, no amount of posing or direction can force these natural connections.
